READING THE BOOK OF First Chronicles CHAPTER Sixteen.

How important is the music in our daily life and for the worship of God?

Our favorite verse in 1 Chronicles Chapter 16 is:

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;  his love endures forever.. (1 Chronicles 16:34 NIV)

Reflection

We need to keep a daily hymn in our hearths.

  • Historical review. –  As presented by the biblical historian, (Psalm 136:1-3, 26 ) seems to have been the first psalm intended for use in the public service of the tabernacle and a characteristic part of liturgical practices. Asaph and his brethren were to minister songs of praise continually before the ark in Jerusalem, so the singing and worship to God became part of their work for each day as well as the sacrifice of the Continuum.
  • Praise God every day to remember what he has done: the great wonders in our favor, the fulfillment of His covenant with us, and permanent care (verses 8-23). Tell others about what God has done for us and the “great salvation we have received” (ver. 24).
  • Let’s show the glory of God to others: He is greater than any other god, has the power and majesty, he provides lasting and eternal joy (verses 25-27). Finally, the song encourages us to offer up our being, time and resources. Praise god in spirit and heart

Prayer.

Lord, in this new day of life you grant us, we want to keep praising your name. When we evaluate how you have guided us up to this point, all our being expressed praise and we say: thanks dear father. May we share with others how good you are, and worship you. In the name of Jesus, amen.
