READING THE BOOK OF First Chronicles CHAPTER Seventeen.
Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?. (1 Chronicles 17:16 NIV)
May we be instruments to the blessings of our families.
-
David’s reaction to the news that he would not be who would build the temple is an example of how a son and daughter of God must face disappointment. Instead of getting angry or altered in the presence of the Lord, he was humble and grateful. Can we respond with humility when God chose “other” to realize our ideas? Like David, we must humble ourselves and give the glory to God, saying: “There is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee”.
-
We can be means of spiritual and material prosperity for our families. – The divine promises are abundant and span many years to our existence. God promises: “On the contrary, those who love me and keep my commandments, I show love to a thousand generations.” Our dedication and service to God, return in blessings for us and for our family multiply.
- Let us be instruments of salvation for our families. – If we have been the first to know Christ as our personal Savior, we are channels of salvation for all members of our family. Perform three activities for the benefit of our loved ones: a) Let’s talk about God in conversations and meetings that we sustain, b) Let us be the first to be there to share the moments of sadness and moments of success, c) Never lose heart in the desire to be part of God’s people, on the contrary, intercede for their salvation continuously.
Prayer.
FATHER abundant blessings. Thank you for forgiving our sins and entitle us YOUR GRACE AND ADDRESS YOUR CARE. ALLOWS despite our imperfections and mistakes, let your instruments so that our families may know and accept your Son as their personal savior. BY JESUS AMEN.
