READING THE BOOK OF First Chronicles CHAPTER Twentythree.
They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening (1 Chronicles 23:30 NIV)
PERSONAL AND FAMILY COMMUNION WITH SOARING
-
Historical commentary.– The sacrifices of the afternoon and the morning were made every day of the year in the sanctuary or temple, it came to be called the “continuous”. It was called “Continuous” for two reasons: a) This sacrifice was placed at one end of the sacrificial altar, where the fire did not produce much heat for that sacrifice can be consumed in 12 hours, ie, this sacrifice “continuously “was consumed. b) because the officiating was continuous all year round, even on Saturdays, in which day a extra lamb was added. This practice should be repeated in our homes, because we do family worship in the morning and afternoon.
-
First activity performed in family worship: THANKS. – Our memory is very fragile to remember God’s blessings. In addition, sometimes as “constant” care is received, we believe that they are normal and do not need to thank God for his blessings. As part of the worship, cultivate the habit, so that family members express gratitude to God as part of our daily worship.
-
Second activity performed in family worship: praise. – Praise be expressed in three ways: a) When reading the Bible, praise God saying “Amen”, b) Let us raise hymns of praise to God, sing with the voice and with the understanding, c) When we pray, we express gratitude to communicate with the King.
Prayer.
Father of all blessings. We express our gratitude for your care and for giving us prosperity. Continually in our family worship, let us manifest gratitude and praise. For Jesus, amen
