READING THE BOOK OF First Chronicles CHAPTER TWENTYEIGHT.
“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotionand with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. (1 Chronicles 28:9 NIV).
RECOMMENDATIONS VALUABLE
-
Serve wholeheartedly.- The word used in Greek, means working in all the senses, perform any work , or anywhere needed. Therefore, the service to God must be characterized by an unconditional work with an arrangement similar to the ox, the animal who works tirelessly and loyally: ready for work or sacrifice. “Those who offer to God an acceptable service must obey all his commandments. So become representatives of Christ “(MS 163).
- God searches even our thoughts.- David says that God looks at the inside of the human being, he mentions the heart. We may fool the people around us and even our family, but we can not fool God, because he knows even our thoughts. David had already said: You know when I sit and when I rise, you understand my thoughts from afar. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And all my ways are known. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether (Psalm 139:2-4).
- Seek Him with all our energy.– This word in Greek means “ask with interest about someone” . The biblical promise says that if we seek,we shall find, because it is God’s delights to manifest himself for His children.
Prayer
God omniscient. You comprehend even our thoughts, we pray that you may accept our service and increase our desire to serve you. We need you Father, never forsake us, In the name of Jesus, amen
