READING THE BOOK OF FIRST KINGS CHAPTER NINETEEN.
God want us to remember the way He has lead us in the pass, He is always in control of the situation and leads our lives.
Our favorite verse in 2 Kings Chapter 1 is:
While he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” (1 Kings 19:4 NIV)
What to do when there is no more spiritual of physical strength?
- After a great spiritual victory, like that on Mount Carmel, where the divine presence was manifested through fire from heaven, one should be on the alert and vigilant that the “success” may not blind us and make us forget about the divine care.
- When life’s adversities, unsolvable problems, and permanent failure, lead us to believe that our life has no meaning, remember the times when we feel the presence of God on our side.
- Reminds, despite the vicissitudes of life, it is wonderful to be alive.
Our Prayer
Dear Father, we thank you for the many victories that have been given to us for glory and honor. We ask for your strength to face the circumstances we face. We thank you for giving us life, and we ask you help us abide with you, here on earth, and for eternity, AMEN
