Ahaziah of Judah soon came to a tragic end. The surviving members of the house of Ahab were who “after the death of his father,” who “advised him into his destruction” … Then Jehu was proclaimed king by the army, he immediately went to Jezreel where he began his work of executing those who had deliberately chosen to sin against God. Among those that were killed was, Joram of Israel, Ahaziah of Judah and the mother queen, Jezebel, and all the remainder of the house of Ahab in Jezreel. PR 159, 160.
- Paternal influence towards evil.– “his mother encouraged him to act wickedly.” (verse 3). DEAR PARENTS, the influence we have on our children is crucial in their decision making. share with them messages that are covered with the Scriptures and filled with the love of God. Never give them advice towards doing wrong, seeking revenge, or hold hatred against others, more than anything guide them to always do the right and follow God.
- The Influence of friends towards evil.– “After the death of his father, they advised him to his downfall “(Ver. 4). Advises that should never be given include: To get away from God, break a family because of trivial matters, to sin, practice vices of any kind. Let us always be a good influence for those around us.
