READING THE BOOK OF SECOND KINGS CHAPTER TWELVE.
We can be powerful witnesses for God through our actions, our positions may not be positions of power or leadership, but if our actions are let by God and our character molded to His image, our traits will make us a shinning light of hope to the world.
Our favorite verse in 9 Kings Chapter 12 is:
They did not require an accounting from those to whom they gave the money to pay the workers, because they acted with complete honesty. (2 Kings 12:15 NIV)
Lesson
Cultivate honesty, people should be able to trust in us.
- Those responsible for paying workers involved in the rebuilding of the Temple, enjoyed full credibility, so they were not required to give account for the expenses performed.
- Strive in all our dealings, at work in the school or at home, to be known as honest, loyal and trustful.
- Let us be agents of change in our communities, we should promote an environment of honesty, loyalty, integrity and transparency.
Prayer.
Our Father, We ask to be given the privilege to bear witness of your love to the world. Give us the opportunity to show that we are your loyal children and become examples of honesty, integrity and justice. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
