READING THE BOOK OF SECOND KINGS CHAPTER TWENTY.

God has a perfect plan for us, He wants to prosper us and give us success. We should be ready to accept His will and put Him first in our lives.

Our favorite verse in 2 Kings Chapter 20 is:

“The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?” (2 Kings 20:19 NIV)
Lesson
Mistakes that should not be repeated

  • Hezekiah was privileged to fix everything before dying. However, this may not prayed as usual, but God demanded that gives you more years of life. One of the reasons why I did not want to die, it was because I had not had children. He was granted another 15 years of life and his firstborn Manasseh, Hezekiah was 12 when he died. If I had accepted rest in the time specified by God, Israel would not have had the worst king of Judah, who was one of the causes of the exile to Babylon.
  • When people visit us, show God first, who is our sustainer and make us prosperous through His blessings. Highlight that everything we “are” and “have” comes from God. Praise God for receiving His undeserved blessings.
  • Eradicate selfishness; think not only in our own welfare, but intercede before God with earnest desire for the well-being of your parents, children, brothers, nephews, uncles, in-laws and all human beings on the planet.

    Prayer.

Dear powerful and Wise God. Allows us to accept things on your own “time”, because you know best when things should happen and to specific events occur. Give us wisdom to know your will and accept by faith that which you know is best for our lives. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
