READING THE BOOK OF SECOND KINGS CHAPTER FIVE.
If God would appear to us and command us to do incredible things to attain His favor and blessings, wouldn’t we do it? But God has only requested our trust and love, let us follow His commands and give our lives to Him, God is ready to heal us and bless us.
Our favorite verse in 2 Kings Chapter 5 is:
Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage. (2 Kings 5:12 NIV)
Lesson
Do not question God’s methods, rather we should learn to obey Him.
- Naaman could have missed the opportunity to be healed if he did not following the prophets instructions.
- We often make the mistake to “Demand” from God the “Way” in which we want Him to fix our problems.
- We should learn to obey God, even if His commands may seem futile. What is require is Faith and trust in God.
Our Prayer
Dear heavenly father, increase our faith to accept your instructions/ Increase our faith to obey your commands. We ask you to give us the joy of seeing your good as a result of our dependence of you. Amen.
