READING THE BOOK OF SECOND KINGS CHAPTER SIX.
We often forget that God knows the most intimate and private things in the world, He is ready to keep us and protect us from evil. If we trust in the Lord we will not only be able to experience His guiding hand but also see His army of angels protecting us.
Our favorite verse in 2 Kings Chapter 6 is:
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16 NIV)
Lesson
Ask God in prayer to be able to see the things He does on our behalf.
- Alisha’s helper got scared when he saw the enemy around the city, but he could not see the larger army of the Lord protecting them from the enemy.
- Ask GOD to be able to see, by faith, the army of the Lord and their daily cares in our lives.
- This chapter also teaches us that even the most secret and personal things are seen by God and He direct and guides His children through so they may not fall on the enemy’s traps.
Our Prayer
Dear father, we ask for your protection again the dangers around us, keep us from the plans of the enemy. We ask that your guardian angels may be around us and protect us. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
